Just got back from some relaxation time in Florida...interesting to see the Florida Highway Department using Kioti tractors to bush hog the highways. First time I've seen them used in a municipal capacity.

As a side note...I was all set up with a great view (about 8 miles across the water in full view of the launch platform) in Space View Park in Titusville for the big shuttle launch last week. But, as we all know, machines break down and I was shut out of my first attempt at viewing a shuttle launch. Oh well...I'll see one eventually.

I haven't yet seen any Kioties in this area working the streets, but I'm sure I will eventually.
I'm sorry you missed the shot of the shuttle. I got to see a night launch from far off once a long time ago, and it was spectacular.

Was it the Florida Highway Department or just one of their multitude of subcontractors?

Ain't it funny....seems like it's just a matter of getting away from where you are to where you ain't. Just got back a couple weeks ago from my little slice of heaven in Tn. Gator Boy is probably correct in that it was a subcontractor. Most all the mowing work is sub'd out. As for Kioti in Florida, have noticed more on trailers enroute to the job than I had before. Maybe it's cause I look harder. I've also seen more Iowa tags down here...wonder what that's about... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sry you missed the shuttle.....it is pretty cool to watch. Day or night. Hope you had a good time otherwise.
