Hi ya's
here one for ya's ..what is the flow rate from most compact tractors from QC's and have most have a detent..what for i hear ya ask..well i have just got a bale wrapper for doing small bales it needs a min of 6 liters per min at 35 bar (bout 1.5 uk gals per min )i have two ways of doing this 1 hire/buy a hydro powerpack or hire a small tractor ,the tractor would be the better of the two as the wrapper is 3 point linkage it need cat2 and tractor needs to lift 700lbs + if anyone can give any ideas that would be great
thanks

That's a low flow rate - any tractor should handle it fine. Most have several times that rate. Even my old Ford 8n (1952) put out 3-3/4 gallons per minute, I think.

Hi ya
yea thats what i would think but i know some guys have mounted these wrappers on up to 120 Hp tractors talking to a hydro guy a power pack would have to have a 7 Hp motor with 15LPM pump 60 Lt tank to run things well ..this set up would also run a log splitter with out boging down to much ..it's not only the flow it may come down to oil tanks or storage so small amounts will heat to fast ..
catch ya
