Hi all, Just returned from my farm in North Carolina and had an issue with my GC2300 and have a question.

Besides the engine oil is it necassary to change the front axle and trans. fluid yearly the machine has basically been used for mowing my 4 acres, some FEL work nothing heavy.

My issue with this tractor is when releasing the hydro pedal to slow down or stop it acts as if the brake is grabbing slightly and slows the tractor with out using the brake, when I stop on a slight hill it will roll freely fowards or backwards, I was told by the Massey dealer this is normal, also when I release the pedal in reverse it jerks once and then acts normal. These issues do not seem normal to me, but I am new to tractors and there is no service manual for this model ? I am going back next week and would like to fix this if it is a problem

Thanks for any help
John

The engine oil and hydrostatic fluid on the GC2300 are to be changed at the first 50 hours, then every 100 hrs afterward.

What you describe sounds like very normal operation to me except for the jerk when letting up in reverse.
