This will be my first winter with my NHTC26 CUT. It's stored in an uninsulated, unheated shed. Winter and snow and below freezing temps start around Dec and go to Apr 1. My tractor is at my cottage but it's a year round cottage so I'll be up there many weekends in the winter and may use the tractor occasionally. My question is; should I add something to the fuel in the tank or in the cans (diesel's new to me)? Anything else I should think about for winter (engine oil or hyd oil) or can I just pretend it's warm and sunny when using or storing the tractor in the winter?
Thanks for any advice...

Top off the tank before storage. Keeps condensation to a minimum. Add some Power Service. You'll be fine. I do mine every winter. I also change the oil and filter before storage. I keep mine under a tarp outside (poor things).

On cold mornings, my tractor engine seems to spin a little faster with synthetic oil in it. I use a hand held hair dryer in the air intake to start my cold tractor.
If you get to your cabin in the evening, take your battery indoors overnight for trickle charging and to warm up. 50 degrees warmer battery makes a big difference on starting my old tractor. I like those 1 or 2 amp trickle chargers (Walmart $20) that do not hard charge. Storing your battery indoors helps a little on tractor security.
I believe I can get more cranking amps from a warm battery with a reasonable charge level than a cold battery with a slightly higher charge voltage.
