Does anyone have any pointers on doing a complete flush on the hydraulic system..?? This one isn't as bad, as others I have seen, but want to get it cleaned up ASAP.
I guess my main concern is getting it out of the 3 pt. lift cylinder. The external lines will be easy. I'm thinking drain, with the 3 pt. arms raised, then step on the lift arms to purge the lift cylinder, and let that drain.
After that add oil, and purge the system through the return line. Then do the remote lines one at a time.
I realize it may take 3 times the amount it holds (8 gal.), but will save lots of headaches down the road...
I have read where some have flushed with diesel fuel, but not sure I want to go there... Has anyone used this method..??
Thanks,
DJ
