I am new to the world of hydraulics. I just purchased a used Bushhog BH and didn't want to contaminate the hydro system on my new tractor with the old fluid still in the lines. I have no idea how long it has been sitting up. The BH dosen't have a pump ,it runs off the tractors hydro system. Can someone tell me how to flush the lines properly ? Thanks in advance for all help. Jason Robin

Remove cyl from cutter and manually move ram in/out(vice-verse) until old oil is purged from cyl & hoses.

yep, also have to remove quick connects. If you really want to do it right pull hoses and spray them and cilender out with carb cleaner and let dry before you put back together, but that is prob. overkill.

I check the system and all fluids were up to par. After months of waiting to mount the BH,I finally was able to use it. All I can say is WOW,what a awesome piece of equipment. Thanks for all the help
