Hi all,
My 336d makes a fairly loud gear sound that appears to come from the tranny or final drive. It is most noticeable at low rpm and low load. The tractor had the issue when I bought it and it hasn't changed in the 100+ hours that I have put on it.
I believe the machine was used primarily for grading as it came to me with a 7' blade and rear hydraulics. I also operated a Kubota L3500 that sounded the same after extensive box blade use. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? Does pulling a blade cause excessive wear in the final drive?
