Follow up on what will it split

I ended up buying a TSC 22 Ton stand alone, on sale for $996. It took too long to get the 3pt. model in. The 22 ton is almost twice as powerful as the 3pt. on my tractor. First run showed it will split anything I can work into it when vertical. It only goes into the high pressure/ low volume pump mode on big Oak heartwood for the first pop of the split. The Briggs engine starts easy. If anyone knows a source for low noise mufflers for 6.5 HP Briggs engines please let me know.

On my 27 ton 8 hp Honda, the ram slows down and you can hear a tone change in the engine and the hydraulics ! If my machine cant split it, it just simply cuts it with the wedge ! I havent stopped it yet !

BTW where in Sullivan county are you, how cool is that !!! My Grandpa had his farm in Livingston Manor, up on the top of Burnt Hill, some of my fondest memories as a kid !!!

Small world, I'm about 10 miles from Livingston Manor, just outside the village of Jeffersonville. Don't know how long you've been gone, but it's still quite rural with a lot of farms in the area. I moved here from Jersey 3 years ago and love it!
