For folks with the hard starting 2910 and other Bransons

I just joined along with my Branson 2910. Just an FYI, it was starting hard but starts right up now. I replaced the fuel feed pump located on the firewall. It is low pressure pump that feeds the injector pump. Very easy to replace. Confirm you have 12v to it when the ignition switch is on.

I just bought 2910i that has set for several years and wasn't running.I had to replace the fuel feed pump also,the stop solenoid is not getting fire,
my brother took remote starter and wonderful the tractor started,now we need to know why the stop solenoid is not getting electricity,all suggestions accepted gracefully.

Sold my 2014 DS3510 Kioti, (miss tractor greatly) bought non-running Branson 2910i, it does start now if power given directly to stop
solenoid need to correct problem with this,tractor has loader,shedder, and blade.

Having had a Century C42 that was VERY VERY GOOD for 7 years or so at low temperatures, then got a bit harder to start a couple of years later and eventually last year would not start at all unless the block heater was plugged in for at least an hour....

Short story long; I think the glow plugs failed one by one.
Last week I pulled them all out, 3 were open circuit, the fourth measured 38 ohms.
New ones 1.1 to 1.2 ohms each.

In FUTURE at the first sign of hard cold starting I will.
Remove the Buss bar and feed wire from on top of them.
Meter each to ground(engine block).
Replace any that are high resistance or open circuit(which is VERY HIGH ressistance, right ?)

I got the replacements on the web from "over the hill tractors" (I think their web site is othtractors) $79.99 for a set of 4 plus $3.99 shipping.
WELL worth the money and less than half the price of any under the Cummins part number.
