I am very close to bying a new 2210 withe a FEL, 54" MMM, Ballast Box, and an Imatch.
I have yet to test drive one because they are hot items around here and all the display ones seem to be sold already, I have not even seen the loader in person, but sitting on several and "getting a feel for them" I have some concerns/questions...
--The seat belt seems cheap, I would like to see a retracable one that can be buckled one handed and does not need to be readjusted beetween me and my wife constantly. Is this being to picky?
--The loader joystick seems very sloppy to me compared to other machines I have used. Is this an issue or is the sloppyness because I have yet to play with it while the tractor is running?
--Is the leaky hydrolic problem I have read about been fixed at the factory, or are they letting the dealer fix them on a warrenty basis when there is a problem?

Thanks in advance for you reply's....

The 2210 seems like its going to be hard to get around here too. My dealer has 2, both of which are sold (1 to me). He said that Deere isn't in heavy production of these yet being that its the first year. He also said he had 3 calls from other dealers asking for any of his extras.

I asked the same question of the seat belt. He told me to keep the price of this tractor down, certain things, like the seat belt, were kept at a minimum.

Actually, the joystick feels good to me. I haven't tried it with anything attached yet either, but it feels like it should be very responsive to feathering the lever. The only true test however is with something to move with the lever.

Don't know about the leak stuff. Hoping for the best.

Just turned 30 hours this weekend on mine. You're right, the seat belt is cheap. The joystick is a little sloppy but looks to be easily adjusted, I haven't gotten around to it yet. Mine hasn't leaked a drop of anything yet. I really can't say enough good things about this tractor. I just took the loader off for the first time this weekend to mow, couldn't believe how easy it goes on and off. You won't be sorry you got this one. Its got power til tuesday.

I just got my 2210 and really like it. The FEL operation works great. I advise you to get the bucket level indicator. ($35) The 62C deck will fit dispite what the litature says. It eats through heavy grass and leaves it looking right nice. I only have about 10 hours on it, but have seen no sign of leaks. The seatbelt is rather lightweight, but I think it is goodnuf. This is a large dealer and I think he said that they have sold 60 of these this year. (5 a day!) I bought the last one that the dealer will have until the end of May.

I looked at Kubota, Deere, and New Holland. I liked some of the Deere features a little better and it was a little cheaper.

The cupholder works very well.

I've had my 2210 (turfs/loader/54"mmm) just over 2 months:
-The non-retractable seatbelt is a minor nuisance that once you've used the tractor you'll overlook.
-The loader joystick may feel at bit sloppy but the valve is precise. Fine control of the bucket and loader arms is no problem.
-My 2210 had two leaks, both fixed by the dealer. Not sure if the factory is catching them before the tractors leave the plant. If not, a good dealer is key. On both repairs my dealer picked-up and delivered the tractor no charge. Also on the second repair my dealer filled the fuel tank and gave me two paint pens for free (the pens were for minor scratches on the 3-point arms).

Even though the leaks were a bummer, overall the tractor exceeds my expectations in loader work (snow removal), engine power and ease of use. Yet to mow with it since we still have a little snow on the ground here in western Michigan.

I have yet to see a leak at 16 hours. I find the joy stick in a really dangerous location when exiting the rig. If you have your bucket off the ground and you need to dismount, that's a dangerous large joystick that can send the bucket down quickly.

I know there's the lockout, and I know the bucket shouldn't be up when I'm dismounting, but let's face it, it's real life. The lockout is too tough to deal with every time, and occationally one gets off to look at the load in the bucket.

All in all, it's a great tractor!

I have the 210 loader, 62" MMM, I hitch, and 48 box blade.
Mine hasn't leaked a drop of anything yet. I really can't say enough good things about this tractor. I just took the bucket instead of the complete loader, off for the first time this weekend to mow, couldn't believe how easy it goes on and off. Hi, KennyD.

I had a leak from the toplink plate (hinge plate) which received a reinforced replacement part. My dealer was great and I hope it is resolved. I'm watching it like a hawk and haven't seen a recurrence and I'm at 22 hours now. There is a "DETAC" reference to the problem which your dealer should be able to pull up for you. Just insist that it is addressed before you take delivery.

As far as the loader control, it is very precise as was mentioned earlier. I do not mount or dismount from the starboard side...no problem there, but a tad inconvenient. On the BX, the the joystick is mounted on the loader frame which comes off when the loader comes off. Six of one; half-dozen of the other.

I'm used to the seatbelt now and consider it a "simple" design versus a "cheap" design. Again, and for contrast, I've heard some tractor owners complain about the retracting type, i.e. on the BX. It's one less thing to mess with in my opinion and I'm now trained to connect the ends to the clips when I dismount (from the port side, of course /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif).

I am VERY ,VERY please with the capabilities of the tractor. Loader, box scraper and 62C all work well. My lawn is cut perfectly right now using the 62C with the mulching kit.

The only other unsolicited advice I will give your is to save you money on the I-Match quick hitch and ballast box and get a quality 48" box scraper instead. My United/Leinbach weighs 325 pound and I can use suitcase weight to get it to 650 pounds for ballast, which is plenty for anything you will be doing with the 210 loader. Here's a quick pic of the rig from deliver day in February.

I've never considered this a problem - probably because of habit. All the large construction equipment I run that have cabs have exit doors on the left. Even when I'm on an unenclosed piece of machinery, I always seem to go left by habit.
You could (and possibly should) try to get into this habit if you find the joystick in the way. After doing it a couple times, it will become habit.
