Tractor
Mitsubishi MT 2801fd Loader
I have been learning a lot about my 2004 New Holland TC30. These tractors are different from others, I also have a 2000 L2500 Kubota.
(1)- Please read before making replies.
(2)- I'm referring to my 2004 New Holland TC30 4x4 with 7308 loader.
(3)- If your float mode keeps disengaging and the loader is not lifting as it should. The PSI to your loader is to low. My TC30 joystick was jumping out of float mode and was not lifting a full load of dirt. Check your valve pressure at the joystick , take the cover off, facing driver there is a nut with a allen screw in the middle of the nut, this is where you increase or decrease psi. Attach a hydraulic pressure gage and hose to any of the boom or curl quick connects and check your pressure. my pressure was very low at 1,000 psi, factory is 2,250 to 2500 I reset mine to 1,900psi as I don't want to take a chance of breaking front axle or breaking the tractor in half, which does happen. After setting pressure the float mode when engaged stayed engaged and loader lifted much more weight.
(4)- When you install the hydraulic gauge to your joystick valve body and engage, the hydraulic gage will bleed off, I went thru 2 gages before I decided this was normal. You are thinking the valve body is bad, so did I so I put a full load of dirt in the bucket lifted it 4 feet off the ground and next morning it had not moved a millimeter. I'm still learning by trial and error.
(4) Some of the TC30's have down pressure that will lift the front tires off the ground and others lift off the ground by curling the bucket.
(5)- If anyone with a TC30 has anything to add, please do so.

#4 - All 7308 loaders have down pressure. Lifting the front end off the ground is easier curling the bucket, but you can do that with the loader too.

I talked to New Holland dealer Tech. He said ((SOME WILL, SOME WILL NOT, DEPENDS ON THE CYLINDERS. SINGLE ACTION, DUAL ACTION)

Well whoever you are talking too, you must not have specified that it was a 7308. ALL 7308s had double acting cylinders. I know, I sold them as a dealer!

Yes I did 7308 loader. I looked at 3 tc30 tractors last week that were for sale, 1 of them would lift with the boom the other 2 would not. One of the gentlemen that buys and sales the tractors said some will lift with boom some wont. I will not argue with you, FACT SOME WILL SOME WILL NOT!!!!
Mine has dual action cylinders so did the ones I looked at. I went to dealer today, spoke to shop mechanic, he said same thing, some do some dont.

Well that isn't what you said.
Originally, your point #4 (the second one) said, "Some of the TC30's have down pressure"
Then you said the dealer tech said it won't lift if it has single acting cylinders.
My answer was to the no downpressure statement and the tech statementof sungle acting cylinders. ALL 7308s have double acting cylinders.
The fact that some will lift with the boom cylinders and some won't has to do with a variety of things like low system pressure to internal cylinder leakage.

Just trying to straighten out what you listed and what the tech said to you and how you.

In the end, it is right, some will lift the tractor with the boom.

Your points that you presented were very informative.

My tractor could be set on blocks with all 4 wheels 1 foot off the ground and the bucket in flat level position will not go below the 1 foot mark. In my shop on concrete floor with the bucket level or curled upward it will not touch the ground. With bucket level it will not touch the ground, With engine OFF and boom pressure released it will not touch the ground.
