Forage Soybean

My spacing is 7.5" on my drill, but 15" will be fine for beans. Several of the old farmers used to do 30" spacing on soybeans. The only thing the narrow spacing does is speed up canopy closure for better weed control, and with RR beans weeds are easy anyway. I used the game keeper mix which is a mix of both and one other type of vining soybean IIRC.

I decided to try something new and bought some Tyrone forage soybeans today. They are not round-up ready but, do grow to 5-7' tall. No one in my area seemed to want to sell me Eagle Seed beans so Ill try these. Also they are alot cheaper, $40 a bag compaired to $85-120 for Eagle's beans. I think alot of Eagle's price is in the round-up part. Im going to plant a 1 acre plot and see how they do.

I was wondering, would it hurt to plant forage oats in the same plot?
