We recently bought a ford 105 tiller (54") for use creating food plots at our hunting camp. It works fine, except the shear bolts keep breaking every 15 minutes. There are lots of rock in this ground that hasn't been worked in 30 years, if not longer. Before buying this tiller, one of the guys borrowed the tiller from the maintenance departing where he works. This one was about the same size, and realy worked well. It had a throw out bearing though.
Is there any type of convernsion possible to replace the shear bolt with a throw put bearing? My father in law said that it would be cheaper to buy another tiller that had a throw out bearing. He may be right... Is there any other way to keep from having to go through dozens of bolts in a weekend?
Thanks in advance.
