Ford 1100 Ignition switch troubles

My Ford 1100's ignition switch starts tractor, works the cold aid start, but won't turn engine off. I have to pull the the throttle lever beyond the normal stop to stop engine. Any experience with the problem and the repair/solution?

There is no problem with the switch. Your tractor has a mechanical fuel shutoff incorporated in the throttle linkage. The shutdown procedure you are using is correct.

You might want to look into buying an operator's manual so you can read it and better understand how your tractor functions.
