The diff lock on my 1210 has not worked for a couple years. I am sure the reason is that I engaged it (stomped on it) several times when it was going too fast. This summer the tractor was in the shop for other repairs, and I asked them to fix the lock while they had it. The repair was noted on the work order, but there is no evidence they took the top off the diff. I presume they just adjusted it by tweeking the stop bolt on the floor pan. Anyway, it still doesn't work. There is no strange noise in the diff, and everything works and sounds just fine, except the lock doesn't work.
In studying the schematic in the repair manual, I am guessing that a cotter pin or roll pin let go on the internal mechanism (parts 8-15, Fig. 222 in the I&T manual). Any other thoughts?
