ford 1310 oil pump

Hey guys, im new here and searching for answers, i have just rebuilt my engine, and i cannot get any oil circulating, therefore no oil pressure, is there any way /or need to prime the oil pump, it worked fine before i rebuilt the engine?

my is doing it to 20 pounds is all I can get
