hello gang,

just bought this little ford 1320, 4x4 with a koyker 155 loader. really clean little machine. previous owner only used it to blade his driveway.

hydraulics were making kind of a howling or grinding noise that seemed like it was coming out of the manifold diverter block. also the loader and 3pt did not want to work once the hydraulic fluid heated up.

after tearing into the manifold I found an o-ring on the spool valve that had a nick in it, so I replaced O-rings and reassembled. the howling noise seemed to go away and everything seemed to work correctly for about 20 minutes but once the fluid got warmed up the loader and 3pt again started failing then finally quit working and the howling noise was back. I let it cool off for about an hour and tried it again. once again it worked well until it warmed up again when the howling come back, the loader and 3 point were slow to work until finally not working at all.

fluid looks new, hoses look to be in excellent condition. any ideas? where would you guys start?

I don't know if the 1320 is the same as the 1300,but my 1300 had howling hydraulics when I acquired it with about 400 hours, and it was the screen on the hydraulic pump starving the pump . I cleaned the screen changed the fluid and 800 hours later everything still works.
