I checked my hydraulic level this weekend and discovered I had water in the fluid. I realized that my shifter boot had a huge split in it and we had some heavy rain this week. I replaced the boot but snapped the treaded stud off of the end of my shift lever while trying to get the knob off. Does anyone know if this is a treaded stud or machined on the lever. Is this lever difficult to replace? I have thought about either drilling it out and tapping it for an all thread or welding a bolt to the top of the shifter that would allow me to screw on another shift knob. I figure that some of you gurus out there may have encountered this and would be willing to give advice. Any help is appreciated. See attached picture. Thanks, Gary
