I posted a lengthy explanation of my question on Owning/Operating and I am hoping my error was posting it there rather than here. 1989 Ford 1520, replaced alternator with exact replacement but found the T-shaped connector for the back had broken apart (31 year old plastic). Two wires are involved, one has a dark tracer, the other appears to be a solid light color (both are bleached out by time). The connection is "T" shaped. Does the tracer wire go to the top of the "T" or to the vertical portion? Thank you for your help.
