Last fall I purchased a Ford 1620, used it for a few hours hauling wood and then put it away for the winter. I'm getting ready to break it out for some work this spring, mostly tilling and brush mowing (attachments soon to be purchased) but was thinking I should change the engine oil and hydraulic fluid. The tractor currently has 570 hours. I know how to operate these things but I must say I lack some knowledge on the mechanical side of tractors so i'm going to ask my probably dumb questions here and hopefully someone will be willing point me in the right direction.
For the engine oil I'm going with 15W-40 I think, can I just use any diesel motor oil or does it need to be new holland brand?
For the hydraulic fluid the manual shows Ford 134. My local Fleet Farm carries Rotella HD Tractor Transmission and Hydraulic Fluid, Farm Rated Trans-Hydraulic Fluid (In either Universal, AW32, AW46, AW68, AW100), and Mobil Mobilfluid 424 High Performance Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid. Would any of those options work as a substitute to what the manual calls out?
