Ford 1620
Have had my Ford 1620 for two years, have done regular maintenance. Used a little over a week ago, ran fine and now it will try to start but won't stay running. Have checked fuel filter and pressure, it is good. How will I know if I need to change glow plugs. Do I have to change all three or just one? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

if it starts and runs and then stalls. not likely a glow plug issue ( IE. if it is running, an open glow plug will not cause a stall ).

I'd double check fuel and filters.. water traps if it has them. fuel solenoid if it has one. etc. Air filter.. etc.

Sounds like fuel issue. I'd start from simple and then move to more difficult issues. I'd close the valve (pet cock) on the fuel tank, get a cup and pull the rubber hose from valve on the tank to the inlet of the filter inlet. I might try to keep the hose upright not to spill fuel and get air in to the line. I then open the valve with the cup under and see the flow rate. You should have a thin steady flow. if flow is good then I put the hose back with the valve shut off and take the hose off from discharge of the filter to the inlet of injector. You need to start eliminate possibilities. Check it out and report back.
