Oil & Fuel Ford 1700 Fuel Injector Pump Oil Fill

Hey JC, I think this was one of your pics of the injector pump. The two phillips head/10 mm head screws that I see.....are they the fill and drain plugs for the injector pump oil? I was told (incorrectly I believe) by a ford dealer, that the injector pump gets its oil feed from the crank case. I have since been seeing that you have to add oil to the injector pump. I had believed the dealership because the oil that I saw in the pump was as black as the crank case oil. I figured that the oil would be cleaner looking if it held its own oil. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks, Tex

Hmm, That's the pic of my tractor's dip stick with the wire tied to it.LOL.

Please look at the link below, It'll give you what you need. On 1700 injector oil is not shared by crankcase and it is separate, although it is the same type of engine oil you use in the crankcase.
