Trying to tinker with a 1980 Ford 1700 I'm looking to pick up from a friend. Replaced the starter solenoid and got it turning over. Fluids and all that changed already, injector pump oil as well. Bled the fuel system, seem to have solid fuel spurting at the block with injector lines cracked. Can't get it to start. I'm wondering if the injectors could just be fouled up, it's sat for like 7 years. Fuel that I cleaned out of the tank seemed a bit gunky. Tried a whiff of ether with no luck (block was cool, I know not to use it with glow plugs). I didn't want to burn up the starter so we tried pulling it off, didn't have a lot of space to work with but no luck there. Thought it was going to go but didn't actually get running so I'm thinking it's just not getting fuel. Seems to turn over nicely, hour meter says just under 400 so if it's right it hasn't seen a ton of wear and tear to make me think it's not getting compression. Any thoughts? Was going to pull the injectors and get some Sea Foam and try that.
