Thanks JC. I appreciate the input. The picture looks the same as mine. I usually run the engine at a fixed speed with the throttle lever and I keep my eye on the temp gauge to monitor the cooling. As the screen in front of the rad. gets restricted the temp starts going up. I stop and raise the bucket, remove the bucket brace in front of the hood so I can raise the hood to remove the screen to clean. I like your ? idea of using a leaf blower but I would have to carry it around on the tractor. When I do field mowing it is 2500 rpm and go, go, go. I know that the big boys with newer equipment have automatic reversing fans to clean the radiators. I wish some one would respond that has converted their 1700 or similar tractor. Maybe I'll go by the ford dealer and ask around. Probably get laughed at, but oh well. Thanks again for responding. Chet
