Does anyone out there have a 1700 with a cab?
Was hoping that if someone has one, they might be able to provide some pictures.
Searched the internet and saw one canvas cab and maybe two steel cabs.
Have seen tractor cab projects for other tractors on-line and it looks like it would be fun to build one.
My biggest complaint (as the tractor sits now) is trying to climb up on the darn thing and get turned around.
The foot rest with the loader installed is so small I can't even turn my foot with tennis shoes on let alone Winter boots!!
I have to either do a ballet move and spin on my tip-toes, or step up on the transmission cover to get turned around (being extra careful to not bump any shifter levers or step on the 4x4 lever). Tempted to just take a hammer to the fender and hammer out some extra foot room, but can't bring myself to intentionally mess up perfectly good tin. So any cab build project might require a fender modification (or possible removal of the stock fenders and build some into the cab).
Also, would a person be able to tap into the lower radiator hose to feed a heater core (I see no plugs on the water pump that would allow for a heater hose outlet)? If so, would a circulator pump be needed? (I haven't tried researching this topic yet)
