Ford 1710 Head Gasket Replacement ????

Hello all,

I need to change the head gasket on my Ford 1710, 3cyl diesel. I am looking for a good source to purchase the head gasket set from. Does anyone have a source?

Also, do I have to replace the bolts too or can I reuse them? I did a head gasket job on a 1997 Jeep before and the bolts had to be replace due to stretching. I don't know if the tractor does the same thing or not.

One of our members, Neil Messicks has an online source for ordering. Just a quick check shows a head gasket for $106.96. Messicks

It's always good if you get new head bolts. The old ones have probably stretched over the years.

A New Holland dealer can get them for you. You just have to check what you get as they seem to have limited quality control on their order picking at the main parts depots.
