Cleaned up a bunch of grime and slime. Used foamy engine wash, scrub brushes, floor stripper detergent. After it was mostly cleaned up, I turned on the engine for just 1 minute. The leak squirted a half-ounce or so of oil in that short time.

Took that mess apart. The o-rings had flat spots worn on them. Something to do with that whole bit about the "hydraulic pump is on the engine, and the priority valve is on the frame vibration / alignment" stuff.

New o-rings, all put back together. Took a moment to align everything so no side tension or torque on the o-rings before clamping the attachment bolts down.

Ready for action. Yes, there is a "kit" to put an oil tube with a flex loop, but it is danged expensive, possibly not available. I figure if the original o-ring scheme worked for 35 years, new rings, not worn out will probably work for a long time also.

I run around the tractor and check all the bolts every year or so. Usually takes a few beers in time. I actually have one bolt missing on the frame. Need to dig out the grime and see if it is missing or sheared off.
