Ford 1720 diesel idle speed

Idling too fast. How to adjust? What is the right idle speed?

Push the accelerator (Gas) pedal, see what lever moves and how it connects to injector pump. You'll have adjustment nut on the rod. Back it out a bit.

Yup, 2 screws.. hi idle & low idle.. hi idle will usually have a tamperproof wire on it.. so, adjust the other one.. WOW..
