I had to replace bearings in front axle 4x4 and wanted to replace bushing in knuckle since I was so close to them, I made a tool that would fit the inside diameter and the outside diameter to try to knock them out, no luck I have been working on the top one which is bigger, and have had no luck to get it to move, hate to hammer it very hard, scared I may break the casting axle knckle housing. Any information would be much appreciated. Joe

I have 2 different ways I do it. Take a hack saw blade and cut the length of the bushing. This will releive the press fit and drive it out. I have a bushing splitter for the air hammer that works well if you have the room to use it. You just have to be carefull not to gouge the housing bore.
