Hey,
New owner of a 1982 Ford 1900 and I have two questions that I haven't been able to find answers to. I've found a lot of great information on here so I'm hoping someone can answer these:
1. What is the part number for the fan belt and is it available from anyone besides New Holland. The closest dealer is about 100 miles away and the belt is so old that no markings are visible and it is cracked completely through. I purchased the Operators Manual and Factory Service Manual but couldn't find the belt dimensions. Also, Google searches didn't yield anything useful
2. Does anyone know which other applications the front ring and pinion in the four wheel drive 1900s were used for? From what I know of Japanese manufacturing, it would be unusual to produce a new gear set for a low volume and short model life tractor. I know that with many Japanese cars, gears were typically sourced from other manufacturers and were usually found in different models and makes-- including tractors. I'm hoping that's the case with the front axle in the 1900 tractors because $1200 for a new ring and pinion from New Holland seems crazy.
Thanks for the help
