Just completed a rebuild of a Ford 1900 (3 cylinder Shibaura diesel). Upon startup I have very low oil pressure. About 4 psi at high idle. I took the tractor back apart and checked the pickup tube, pressure releif valve, and everything else I could think of. I determined it must be the oil pump so I bought a new oil pump and installed. However after putting it back together I still have low pressure. What else am I missing that could be causing this? During the rebuild I replaced all bearings and seals, rings, etc. There are no visible leaks anywhere. Is there something that I missed putting back in that could be causing an internal oil leak? Any advice would be much appreciated.
