ford 1910 fuel injector cleaning

Hello,
I have dismantled the fuel injectors from my 1910, the first one was just like the books say but one of the nozzles had the center pin fall out. Every where I see exploded vies of this fuel injector it shows it as an assembly, not showing the pin out, the nozzle has the pin as part of the unit. Mind you, only one had the pin come out. At first I tried to remove the center pin in order to clean it but they did not want to come out so I figured it did not come out. then as I was cleaning one of them the pin just fell out. Why wouldn't any of my Ford books show this as a two part nozzle? Very confused.

Picture? It can be replaced sometime in the past?

If it's worn replace and get it properly adjusted so it opens at the right pressure.

The inj. nozzle is 2 pieces.. a body & a pintle.. the pintle is held down into the body by spring force until the fuel pressure inside the tip is greater than the spring force.. it lifts & injects a metered amount of fuel into the engine..
And YES, it IS supposed to come out.. The 1 that fell out is the good one.. the ones that are STUCK are the bad ones..
IF u took a wire wheel to the outside of the tip.?? to clean the carbon off, u destroyed the injector tip.. order new ones. geesh..

If it's ordinary injectors tear them apart is no problem, common to replace the nozzles but of course they must be checked and adjusted with test equipment.
