Ford 1910 Parts Help

Have you looked at the dipstick for the 1720? Part number SBA198416270. It looks very similar and lists for about $10.

Have you considered getting a cheap dipstick for a car and then just cutting it to size?
I have a 1986 Ford 1710. The dip stick is only about 6 inches long.
The Dorman 917-390 Engine Oil Dipstick might fit if it is cut down and it's only about $12.

Yours is post #10.

Hello,

I recently acquired a property and the previous owner left a 1986 Ford 1910. The tractor is in fantastic condition but unfortunately, it is missing the engine oil dipstick. I have searched all over the internet to try and find the OEM dipstick or a universal dipstick that would fit this tractor but I haven't had any luck. I spoke with the local New Holland dealer who apparently has one in stock but they are asking $69 for it. I am hoping to find a cheaper option. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

why don't you make a dipstick using straight stiff wire and put a pig tail on one side so you can grab and pull out. Tape some sort of stop so it would not move in the dip stick hole. Ask on one of the guys with 1910 to take a pic and dimensions and post it for you so you can mark, low and high on the wires using a dremmel tool. It would be functional but not oem stuff.

If someone with a Ford 1910 can tell you the length and markings on the dipstick, it should be easy enough to modify a universal or auto salvage dipstick to fit for a lot less $$

Wasn't this dipstick issue resolved in post #9 ?
