Kubota L2900 4wd w/loader
Hello all, What I have is a 1986 Ford 1910 2wd with a frontend loader added on(Ford). My problem is since I've owned the tractor the frontend loader will operate extremely slowly with an implement on the back such as a bush hog or disk that is in the fully raised position. If I lower the implement on the back the loader works fast(as it should)I've changed the fluid in the past year along with filters. Not sure what the problem could be as it has done this since day one and it's just a hassle but I've dealt with it. The rear lift works fine no matter what position the FEL is in. Also the rear lift will not stay in the lifted position when tractor is not in use, not sure if that matters. Any ideas?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Matthew

I don't know the 1910. But on my tractor the draft control, Up and the 3 point wont stay up, Down in the draft position it stays up.

Some tractors have a selector control, one way its just the 3 point, the other just the loader, in the middle its shared. But this depends on how yours is set up, it may not have this and is always shared.
Check your manuals. It may have more detailed info.

try putting the draft control lever not at the highest position. You will notice your loader will work better.

does on mine anyway!

If you don't have draft control, possibly your adjustable stop is incorrectly set, or your putting your lever into it's notch. The only time you are supposed to put the lever into the notch is if your going to use the aux port by the flow control. With the lever in the notch fluid goes to the port rather then back to the sump, so you are deadheading the system (port plugged) and the FEL operation will be hampered.

Thanks for all the tips so far. First off, I don't have a manual for my tractor so I'm not sure where some things are or the terminology of them. Sorry about that. Where is the draft control lever located? Also, I know that my lift lever is not in the notch, never put it there and also when i lower the rear lift arms a little the FEL will llower quickly for a foot or so then slow again. If I lower the rear lift a little more I get the same result, but the FEL will only lower quickly all the way if the rear is all the way down.

The owners manual shouldn't cost much, and if you work google who knows you just might find one. And there is a wealth of information.
Its not here but this is a good link to keep Index of Manuals.

Granted I just played with my controls to figure out what they did. Later i did get manuals.

But look down on the right hand side behind your leg many are there.

Do you still have this problem with no implement on the 3pt hitch? If your problem is only apparent when an implement is hooked up on the back, your seals maybe leaking slowly. I would try chaining your implement once it is in the full up position to take pressure of the seals and see if your FEL cycles faster.

If you have draft control (optional) the lever will be a sister to the 3pt level, right next to it pivoting on the same axis.

I might know this answer. On my 1900 there was also a sump screen on the side of the transmission under a round 3 bolt cover. If you have one, and I'm 99% sure you do, the loader would likely behave that way if it were plugged. Just my free advice.

I'll have to try it without implement, can't remember what it does. I don't have a draft control on this tractor. I also have changed fluid and filter and didn't have a screen under the cover on the side of the tranny. I'll try to take the implement off tomorrow and report what I find. Thanks to all!!!!
