I have been working on an '84 Ford 1910 for a friend, and one of the big projects has been to mount and plumb a Woods 1009 loader on the machine. I got all of that done, and thanks to chander for a bunch of help, I was able to get the loader working and sent the tractor back home. I thought all was well. Then the owner bought a scraper blade for the 3 point, and he called me and said that the 3 point wasn't working correctly with the loader hooked up. Boy was that an understatement.
Here is what I have:
1910 Ford
1009 Woods loader
The Woods loader has 1 pressure hose and 2 return hoses. I plumbed the pressure line to the junction block on the right side of the tractor (see photo) and I have the return plumbing going back to the sump via the power steering return line.
When the loader is disconnected from the hydraulic system, the 3 point system works correctly. 3 point controls work as they should, and plenty of power to lift a 6' box scraper.
When I connect the loader to Port 1 and turn the valve to Position B, (see photo) the loader works as expected. Good power, can lift a full bucket of gravel with no problems.
Things get funky when you try to use the 3 point controls when the loader is connected to the hydraulic system. The 3 point controls will never lift the 3 point. And based upon where the 3 point control lever is located the 3 point will go up with the loader control stick.
I mapped out the combination of things that are happening based on the hydraulic port that I am connected to, and the position of the valve on the control block. See the attached photo for the chart of what is happening. The black represents my actions moving the 3 point control and the loader control. The red represents the actions of the 3 point and the loader.
I know this is an odd problem, but I was hoping someone might have some ideas.
