Price Check Ford 1920 Pricing

Hi, I have a chance to buy a Ford 1920 with a front end loader and backhoe attachment. It has 3961 hours on it and they are asking for $8k. I checked the serial number for the tractor and it was manufacturered in 1989. Any thoughts on this price, is it a good deal?

Which backhoe is it. A Ford 758? The hours are a little high, but the price with backhoe isn't far off. I have a 1987 2120 which is one size up. It's been an excellent tractor for 20 years. The 1920 is a excellent tractor.

The Ford's really seem to keep there value, although not cheap, if everything is working, with no leaks or ones that you can fix easy, it will probably a good tractor for you. Any pics?

I have a few pictures of the tractor. I'm unsure as to the model of the backhoe attachment, I've yet to get the owner to schedule a time for me to meet him to look the tractor over.

I tried to look at the pictures closely. I took them and blew them up. The one thing I noticed is that neither the backhoe or loader appear to be marked with brand and model number. I'm not sure what they are. The machine may have been repainted as the paint apears to be faded considerably more than my 2120 which has spent 20 years outsides.

The loader looks to be an older ford loader.. though I can't place the model #.

I had a 1920.. a 1997 model... bought it used from the dealer that originally sold it ( was 1 owner machine ).. I paid 9500$.. was a 4wd, and 12x4 tranny. had 700hrs on it.

I traded it in in? 2004 on a bigger machine.. had just under 1000 hrs on it, and got 8500$ in trade on it.. No attachments..

The hours are high on that one... but if it runs good.. check it over... does it start cold well? much blowby? oil lamp go out immediatly.. drive in all ranges.. check 4wd.. clutch.. hyds.. etc..
