Hi! New member here. Looking to buy a first time tractor. They are kinda scarce in my area. I would like really like to have a 4X4 due to the terrain and mud our property has. And of course, I have a tiny tractor budget.

Anyway, I have come across a ford 2110, mid 80's, just over 4000 hours, 4X4, with a Ford 776B loader and an unknown brand box blade that appears to be a heavy duty version with the hinged rear section. Photos show light surface rust here and there, but all-in-all looks like what I guess a tractor of that age should look like.

I am having a hard time finding a whole lot of info on these. My internet search does seem to indicate that motor parts can get pretty expensive for these.

My real question is, about what is this tractor worth? I am not finding any comparable examples.

Thanks for any help!

To the forum from Alabama. Have you looked at Craigslist for comparable models in your area.

I looked at C.L. from coast to coast. I found 2 that were somewhat comparable. IIRC, one was 9500, the other was 13k. The 9.5 one was in similar condition, with a slightly different FEL. The 13 one was in excellent shape-looked like it had been stored indoors since day one, but had an unknown aftermarket FEL.

The one I am looking at they are asking 11K.

That price is inline with values around here. Those are good tractors with a strong following. I am unsure of parts availability. I have the little cousin in a 1720 and it is a trouble free unit.

If you're unsure, and you like the feel of the machine, hire a mechanic to read compression, check clutch, gearboxes, and cooling, check for leaks, etc. A couple hundred $ now might spare you some later grief. As for price I think it's $2-3k high with that many hours.

Check out tractorhouse.com. They should have some listed there for sale to get a price comparison. I have the younger brother to that one a 1920. The loader on the 1920 is a little weak but nice tractor. Is it a shuttle shift? I went from a gear Ford 1700 to the Ford 1920 shuttle. Night and day difference in loader work.
