Hello all, traded a good 4 wheeler for my lastest project!! really has not been that bad so far, anyways got the beast back together and added a set of rear remotes and also added the power beyond return at the rear of the tractor for backhoes. The tractor was plumbed with a QC between the PB on the hyd manifold and the PB on the 2 spool loader valve and had the return line running back and was teed to the return at the loader valve. Took care of the return by installing return plumbing to rear hyd sump. Guess my question is this better to leave the PB plumbing the way they have and climb under the tractor to connect/disconnect BH or do away with this line and run the BH off the rear remote?? any issues for or againist, heat, would the flow be the same either way, etc...

I ran a 2120 with a 758 backhoe for 15 years plumbed the way yours is plumbed with no problems. That is the way my dealer who I have a lot of respect for set it up. I also had a rear remote which was not used for backhoe operations.

Thanks Andy, the only thing i dont care for is that they had the lines looped around the subframe to the rear, concerned about hanging them on something... If i keep the PB plumbing the same will transfer the lines to the BH and just have to route the one line to hook it up:) sounds easy :D now that scares me..............

Actually when I thought about it more, mine was plumbed with the return plumbed into the rear hydraulic sump (where a qucik connect was located and unused except when the backhoe was mounted). The front loop had no T and the 2 connectors were connected when the backhoe was not on. When the backhoe was on, one of the front connectors "dangled" unconnected.

Breaking the circuit after the loader valve power beyond port is the proper way to connect into the hydraulic circuit to add an aux valve for remotes.

There should be no difference in plumbing the the remote valve's return to tank line directly to the tank or teeing with the loader's retrun to tank line. Both empty to the sump/tank. I don't know what you fixed other than maybe rerouting some hoses and adding a new fitting on the sump.

Thats how mine does Andy, has a connector that dangles when hooked to the BH. Thanks for the input Max. My original intent was to get rid of the lines hanging under the tractor to avoid hanging them on something in the field, added the factory set of remotes for the clean install, and added the elbow Andy mentioned to dump to sump in the rear so i could get rid of the return line they had hanging under the tractor. Just thought if there was no difference or drawbacks in hooking the backhoe to the rear remotes could do away with the line from the loader valve and not have it under the tractor either. I know i lose the 3pt with the BH on but no big deal, BH is on subframe so dont see a need for the 3pt when attached.

Powering the hoe with the rear remote does not diasble the hitch as using the power beyond connection does. Inadvertant raising of the 3pt may cause damage to the hoe step area or injury to the operator. I kinda like the idea of disabling the 3pt when a hoe is installed.

Leaving the plumbing from the PB loader valve makes sense, esp when thinking about accidentally lifting the 3pt at the same time... now is there a diverter valve...something like a a/b switch that could be installed and plumbed and then wouldnt have to switch OC under the tractor.
