do not know any specs on this tractor but this one is for sale with 639 hrs orig. it is mint, can anybody help me with this ,like to know hp etc.it is 4x2 with loader,good or bad machine thanks

It is 44 hp, weighs a tad under 5000 pounds, has 6 forward speeds and 4 reverse. Average price for one is around $6k. High mark is $7800 so this gives you an idea about where the prices should be if it is in great condition.
As for good or bad machines, I don't know. Ford made them from 1980-1985 so you are looking at a 20-25 year old machine with 640 hours. I would say if the hours are accurate then it should be a very good machine still as it is hardly broke in.

thanks robert for your help as for hp 44 is that pto or engine,also has new paint 6 years ago not a mark on it , no marks on floor boards either.I do know the guy that works on it and said he service it every year all new fluids even if only 15 hours were on it.that year since new, and did professional paint on it. but asking price is 10,000

Without seeing it I will not tell you if the $10k is high for the tractor you are looking at but it sounds it. If it is as nice as you described offer him $7500 and see if he goes for it. I have never been a fan of a 2wd loader tractor, it can do the job but it takes a lot of work. $10k would be a very good down payment on a TC 45. The 44 hp is Engine so hp wise you will fall in the TC 45 range. Price out a TC 45 Gear w/ FWA and loader and see how much more it will be if you can afford it. I don't have my sheets here but a 2wd TC 45 w/loader would cost you maybe $5k more but it would be brand new with a warranty. Check your options if he won't lower his asking price any. Also, it is good to know what a new tractor goes for similar to what you are looking at so you can negotiate properly. Good luck and let us know what you end up doing.
