Almost a year later now and the patch has still held fine, no other issues with the 3ph or tractor in general so things have been going great. Has a very, very slight weeping leak from the patch area, but I probably haven't lost a gallon of fluid in a year. Just enough to remind me that I still need to fix it right, and to keep an eye on the fluids as much as I should anyway.
