The right side cylinder on my Ford (New Holland) 3930 front end loader (Model 7309) has started leaking.
Should I look for a re-build kit or just buy a new cylinder.
Any video's on how to repair that?

Thanks.

Well, there are kits from New Holland, but they are $175+. You would need to know the cylinder number stamped on the barrel if you want to order from Messicks or any New Holland dealer.

Other options are, take to a local shop and have resealed or take apart and match the seals.

Thank you Tractor Tech. That kit is now $258.00 at Messicks.
However, I was impressed at how quickly the got me a replacement brake release, even though I can't figure out why that should cost more than about $80.00.

IF the rod isnt scored, and the thing isnt bypassing.....just replace the gland seals. Done it many times.

Its easier on most cylinders with a threaded rod end....but most loaders have a welded cross tube so you gotta knock the piston off to pull the rod out of the gland.

But either way, local hydraulic shop....I have never paid more than about $20 for a gland seal. And if the rod isnt scored or has chipped chrome.....no need to replace the expensive rod

Well, Messicks doesn't set the price and that brake handle/rod and tractor are "Legacy" items. Plenty of old and used parts out there. That is just not a popular part so no aftermarket options.

I found a local shop that rebuilt my cylinder for $200.00 I guess they must make their own seal kits.
It's working great.

I always do both cylinders at the same time. Early on I would always just do the one leaking, after about the 6th time of the companion cylinder leaking within a month or two of the first repair, I learned that the fluid just blows out the weaker of the 2. Both cylinders need to be of equal seal strength.

There are 4 cylinders total. Two rotate the bucket and two lift the arms.
Having replaced the rotate the bucket cylinder, the lift the arms cylinder is now leaking.
Does the viscosity if the hydraulic fluid matter in this context?
Thanks.

No. Since the loader seals gave out after all these years, it is not surprising that the bucket cylinder seals are now leaking.
