My grandfather wants me to find out about a Ford 4000 tractor he is looking at, gas 4 cylinder with loader. It has serial number 11439 surrounded by two "diamonds" which I think mean it was made in 1962 with cast iron sleeves. The model number is 41400S- any Idea what that means? It doesn't run now but am told it is power steering with "shuttle shift??", PTO, and hydraulics.
Any body have experience with these industrial 4000's? Is $4500 too much for fair condition (minor work to get it running) with a loader? Thanks!
