'68 Ford 4000
Hello everyone,

New member here from Missouri. I've been scouring the net for hours trying to confirm info I've gathered about adding a power beyond block to a '68 Ford 4000 I recently purchased. The tractor has a duel set of remotes (Valves) located under the seat. One set is plugged and the other set feeds a 2 spool (open center, non power beyond capable) valve for my FEL. In order for the FEL to operate, the remote under the seat must be in the forward position and in order for the 3pt hoist to operate the remote must be in the neutral (center) position. Before I start ordering parts I was hoping you guys might confirm a few things for me.

Is it true that if I add a tisco HV4902 plate, my FEL and 3pt will both operate, but I risk damaging my FEL valve while lifting something heavy with the 3pt.? How real of a risk is this to an old Gresen #2702 valve?

Is a Tisco HV5902 and a new 2 spool power beyond valve the most cost effective and proper solution?

The previous owner of the tractor put a bungee cord around the remote lever to prevent it from popping back to neutral under a FEL load. I recall reading about this potentially causing pump damage. Is this something I should look into while its apart? The hydraulics seem plenty strong but the 3pt does bleed quickly with a box blade hanging on it.

Thanks in advance for passing on some knowledge.
