Which sockets or wrenches to buy?
Might seem like a strange question but I recently purchased a 1981 Ford 4100 and don't have sockets that seem to fit. I was recently trying to take the cap off the rear axle to add hydraulic fluid but didn't have the right size. I have a number of socket and wrench sets but mostly metric varying from 5mm to 24mm, but very few as large as some of the bolts/nuts on this tractor. I also have some SAE but only up to 3/4". I know that working on 80's US cars there were a mixture of metric and SAE fastners. I'm just wondering if this tractor has a mixture or if they are mostly SAE.
If there are only a few nuts/bolts > 3/4 maybe I could buy individual sockets rather than sets.
