1969 ford 4400 loader hydraulics went out suddenly. I was using it to dig up a little dirt and it just quit instantly, no noise, no smoke, no spray or puddle of hydraulic fluid, fluid reserve is full. It won't even try to move the loader just like the pump died instantly. Any ideas other than replace the pump? It is a front mount pump.

Remove the loader IN hose hose and place in a bucket and start the engine for a couple of seconds and see if there is flow.

If no flow, check the pump input hose and see if the IN port is flooded.

Check the spline or shaft coupling at the pump/engine

Yep, sounds like the pump quit. Check whatever drives the pump off the front of the engine

Took off the in line at the valves, turned over engine and fluid flowed with enough pressure to push my hand off the end. Next step is pressure test?
