I have a 1993 Ford 445D Industrial Tractor, 8x8 Transmission, W/O Cab and a Bison BB 210 box blade, but the tractor does not have any rear remote hydraulics. I would like to be able to control the hydraulically actuated rippers, top link, and side link.
After spending way too much internet time trying to figure out what to add and where to get it, I realize that help is needed. There is so much information out there, and a lot of it is either contradictory or wrong.
I would prefer the factory style valve that mount directly to the three point top cover, but I've only found them with double spools. I need three double acting spools.
I've seen several pics of 445's with a three spool valve bolted on under the seat. Apparently, Gannon used to make a three spool valve with adapter plate that replaced the three point top cover, but I haven't found one available for purchase. Does any one know of a source for this three spool valve and adapter plate?
My other two options seem to be:
1. Use a factory double spool valve setup and only control the rippers and top link
2. Use an adapter plate (Tisco HV5902 or HV4902) for power beyond. Then, install a universal three spool open center valve set.
I would love to know where to get the three spool bolt on controls or at least hear from someone on the pros and cons of the other options. Soundguy and RickB seem to know a lot about these Fords, I hope to hear from them.
Thanks.
