Ford 4500 wiring access

Trying to take side panels off around fuel tank to inspect all of harness in that area does fuel tank have to be removed?.

The harness, if you haven't already discovered, goes over the tank, under the tank shroud to the fuse block behind the battery.

You should be able to loosen up the tank shroud and slide up the steering column enough to get access to the harness

Thanks I pulled the harness out, coming out by the display and the wiring is pretty bad some melted most corroded . thinking of buying an aftermarket harness off eBay for 90 bucks. Your opinion please.
