ford 4610 serial/vin number? 1982

ok i have started the process to try and get a v5 (not sure if you have it in US but here in the UK it is basically the document that shows that you own the vehicle etc and is a legal requirement for road driving and you need it to insure and tax) and it wants the VIN,chassis or frame number. this is for a ford 4610 from 1982 in the UK

i have found in various places what i think might be this VIN number, it is labeled as 'tractor number' or 'serial code' is this what i am after? is so any idea what this number means? '*B520177*' (printed with stars on tractor)

have got another code with stars before and after it but i can only find that stamped in one place.

the code i have put on here was found on a plate in the cab and on a sticker under the right hand bonnet

The sticker under the right hand bonnet gives the serial number the model number, the manufacturing date and I believe the transmission code or the hydraulic pump code, The B indicates it was built at Ford's Basildon factory in the UK. The serial number is also stamped into the casting just above the starter. Cheers
