I am having an issue with the hydraulics on this new to me tractor.

I have fixed all the leaks on the whole thing brake seals o rings and fuel lines and finally made my way to the hydraulics.

I have changed suction filter and return filter and flushed and cleaned sump and filled with super trac 303 and I still have the same issue. It will only lift my 6ft rotary cutter when I am giving it extra fuel... shouldn't this big of a tractor be able to handle that weight at an idle???

Also the pto has a mind of its own. Sometimes when it's running and I throw the lever to shut it off it won't listen to me and keeps going and sometimes it shuts off fine but I noticed when I am running around 1500rpm or higher the 3ph will jump down then back up to where it was real quick with the pto engaged, but when it's not engaged it will stay where I put it with no jump...

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!

Also I forgot to mention when I bought the tractor it had been sitting in the rain for no telling how long.

I had water mixed in the rear-end, transmission, power steering when I bought it and immediately flushed and refilled before working the tractor.

Cleaned up my property with it and began to tear it down and fix it... Now I'm back at day 1 with the hydrauilc system.

Something is leaking & the pump can't keep up at an idle. 3pt lift cylinder packing, the 3pt valve, or the pump itself. Worn out, blown gasket or o-ring, or crap caught somewhere are the likely causes.

thank you! I have not checked the pressure at the remote yet. I need to go and buy a gauge. should I remove the lift cover and replace O-rings and look for busted gaskets. when I had the pump out everything in the bottom looked to be ok for now.

when I leave the 6ft bush hog all the way up and shut the tractor off it takes about a solid 30 min to leak down maybe a little longer, would that indicate that my cylinder and safety release valve are fine?

and I don't want to throw money at it. but I want to look into all possible alternatives before I buy a pump. its a good tractor I don't mind spending $$$ if I know for sure its the problem.

If its staying up for half an hour the packings or valve isn't great, but very usable & problably not the problem.
