Ford 5000 PTO issue

Chances are the PTO clutch is leaking internally. Once the oil heats up, the oil thins and causes the oil pressure to drop and the clutch to slip. Typical culprit is the hub/sealing ring wear.
As previous post said a pressure check would be best. Pretty sure that there is a 1/4" plug on hydraulic pump that you can check pressure. Should be about 200 psi.

Thanks everyone for feedback. I’m not sure what happen to make PTO stop working. All we did was drain old fluid and replace with new fluid. I have bale about 20 bales without any issues and able to finish for the year.

I have another issue with my Ford 5000. I use it for baling round bales of hay. The other day it was turning good and all of sudden it just stop working while engage. The next morning I tried it and it start working. I haven’t try to bale hay with it again. What could cause this to happen in case it happen again? If it’s the filter or strainer would I have to remove top plate?

I will try to post pictures tomorrow of location of PTO lever.
Good morning this issue has started again. Could there be anything else that I need to check.

Again, you have a leak in the system. Could be a piston seal that is failing, but seats occasionally and works again, but not much to diagnose without getting into it.
